    hey,

I signed on March 10th, got all my paperwork into them on March 19th and they said at the time that they would contact me. I did the means test in the office on March 10th so I am presuming they are not calling to my house - they have not written a letter anyway.

I am just wondering will I get a letter in the mail in a few weeks stating if my claim is accepted / rejected or should I call them to see what's going on.

I am just fearful that I could be missing some info for them and they will close my claim.

    Any opinions/advice much appreciated.

    Thanks

    JJF

Contact them as there is a back log for new claims.due to the present unemployment climate and i am sure a lot of other people are in the same situation as yourself waiting for weeks for a reply.I think the system is too slow especially if all the necessary paper work is handed in, also try your local health centre they may be able to help with some money until your claim is processed (it is a payment called supplementary welfare) at least if you received this payment it would help.
