I'm pulling my hair out with this one. I Just reloaded XP on a Philips Freevents x54.

There are three drivers that I cannot find:
    Mass Storage Controller
PCI Device - i think its the modem
    Video Controller.

The graphics card is a NVIDIA® GeForce Go 7400 but when i download and install the driver it does not work.

    Any ideas on this?

Click on windows update, Click on custom. this normally finds missing and updated drivers for most machines.

As for video card drivers you can't use desktop drivers on a mobile card.

Go to www.laptopvideo2go.com, download the relevant drivers (Go7400 would probably be best with drivers from the 8x.xx series up to 9x.xx, anything newer isn't best optimized for it) and download the accompanying INF file. This will allow you to install the driver.
