The photo reminds me of this shot of Hunter

And with Bruce Robinson behind the script and directing I cannot wait to see this. Looking forward to seeing Aaron Eckhart as Sanderson and Giovanni Ribisi as Moberg:D

Still has a release date of 2010, wish they'd get a move on. Looking forward to this one for years, ever since Fear and Loathing when they starting talking about Depp for it.
Disappointed the rumour about Del Toro being involved didn’t come true, but his character wasn’t in the book anyway, from what I remember.
Obviously he could have played another role, but seeing a young Dr.Gonzo on screen would have been brilliant.

Well they've only just started filming and really the only reason this is being made at all is because of Johnny Depp. It was Depp who hired Bruce Robinson to direct and write the screenplay - a brilliant move. Don't make the mistake of thinking that this movie will be anything like Fear and Loathing. They have no connection and have nothing in common to be honest. The Rum Diary waa wriiten long before Thompson conceived of his Gonzo style and there is no mention of drugs in the book. There will be some experimentation with LSD in the film however and other changes but anybody expecting Fear and Loathing Part 2 will be let down. Paul Kemp is quite different to Raoul Duke.
