Fashion and the economy

Right, so back in the 80s when clothes were awful, our economy was in an equally poor state. And it wasn't till fashion sense improved that the economy came out of mourning our choice of clothes and began to recover to provide us with the Celtic Tiger.

So now our economy has seriously disimproved in the last while and, strangely, this has also co-incided with a return of 80s fashion. So if we rid ourselves of these God-awful clothes, and petition the so called fashion designers who provided us with these 'fashions' to fast track us out of this fashion era, then perhaps the economy will realise we still have pride in ourselves and return the favour with Celtic Tiger II.

Fashion designers, you have been warned.....

I vote all the women wear pyjamas and all the men wear tracksuits tucked into their socks.

    .

You are light years behind, friend. The fashion re-evolution has already begun. Its very early days, but I believe Pennys have a waiting list for pyjamas.

I have never actually seen women goin about in public with their PJs, I'm convinced its a myth. Seen the trackies tucked in socks mind, its quite lol, with their big feet and skinny ankles.

I think I'm becoming less tolerant. Until recently I considered these people as just a mere amusement. A glitch in society. However lately I wish death upon each and every one of them. I'm even finding them to be louder and more obtrusive than usual.

I just heard a cover of Stand and Deliver (Adam Ant) by No Doubt on the radio. And a Depeche mode cover.

Shellsuits are a 90s phenonemon! Not that they were an improvement on 80s fashion...

I must live a very sheltered life out in the sticks, but I've never seen anybody out in their pjs either.

Apparently during hard times people dress up to convey the idea that they're doing well and also to aspire to a brighter future.
