My dad mentioned to me today he saw a couple of TV's for sale in Sainsburys in Newry this week.

Sony KDL-37U4000 for £449 and also a Samsung for £320 (he didn't have the spec, and I could not find on their website)

Any opinions on the Sony ? Or anyone know what the Samsung is ?

    Cheers.

if you have standard cable i.e. ntl without a set-top box you'll need to make sure the tv has a UHF/VHF tuner as in the connector to ordinary "pipe" into the tv. most tv's destined for the UK don't have this
