    Hi,

headin to to my friend next weekend for a holiday!! How likely is it i will be stopped by customs with tea bags, chocolate & cigarettes in my suitcase (NOT carry on luggage)???

Don't want to end up on nothing to declare or locked up abroad!!!

Also how far is it driving from sydney to melbourne? I. E how many days would you give yourself on a return journey?

if you have a legal amount of ciggs you'll be fine

if you tell them you have choc and tea bags you'll be fine also

    sydney - melb is a 10hr drive

Either ditch the excess ciggies before customs or keep your head down. If you declare any excess smokes, they will charge you excise on all of them
