Rear wiper not part of the test - so it won't fail.

The offical line I got from them prior to the test was that if a rear wiper is fitted to car as part of its original specification, then it has to be working. But then, they didn't test it in the test :)

Edit : the probable reason it was overlooked was they were rushing to clear a backlog an hour after last test time - so maybe get your friend to book a late in the day test time, and bring something to read as they could be there a couple of hours.

They can test and fail you for more than is specified on the list afik....friend of mine recently failed because the rubber cover on the clutch pedal was worn, it said on the test sheet that they only check the brake pedal. So I think you could still be unlucky and fail so something that is not listed as part of the test.

Didn't matter when I had my 330d Touring tested. Which is nice because if it's broken in the way I think it is, it's a costly fix.
