Ross Fisher currently -4 thru 11. Impressive stuff.

Harrington's just birdied the second to go to -1

Ross Fisher is shaping up to be the traditional "day one" story, who ends up missing the cut.

Ross Fisher drops a couple to finish -3, happy with that I got money on him.....Timmy Clark clubhouse leader, doing his best to disprove the theory that the guy who wins the par 3 contest never goes on to win the Masters ;)

Sounds very like his crazy last round at Carnoustie in 07!

Just wondering have they shortened the course this year?...seems to be an awful lot of players under par compared to recent years

the first is ten yards shorter, all other holes are the same afaik
no wind today though which probably explains the low scores.....

You gotta love the leaderboard on TV. Woods playing 5 @ level and is the 1st at level on the board. Pandering to the USA viewers.

At least masters.org is as it should be.

Did Harrington go for 15 in 2? Dropped to -2 with bogey

Like the stretch the small leader to show his name.

Enjoyed the amen corner on bbc.

Tiger having his usual slow start at the masters

shane o'donoghue having a shocker so far - seems like the players can't wait to get away from him - even PH was short with him - bring back Douggie Donnelly!!

9:07pm: Lineker gets in his first interruption, stopping Wayne Grady dead in mid-sentence . . . <sigh>

Shane O'Donoghue going downhill rapidly - interview with Wilson "I hit a lot of great putts but they just kept shaving the hole and staying out", SOD - "so would you say your putter really saved you then today?" Oh dear.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,848 ✭✭✭soundsham

asked phil is it harder coming back as a previous champ.....twit

phil says no obviously its easier when you have won around the track

Shane O'Donoghue is finding it very difficult interviewing the various player. I thought is interview with Oliver Wilson was shocking. Wilson said he struggled with the putter all day and Shane O'Donoghue's next question was to ask him 'did he think the putter saved him today'!!!!!

Totally agree lads, so much so I thought the plank deserved a separate thread. He has to be related to Pat Kenny.

another shocker with poulter - blow it up ref, save him from any further embarrassment!

I always though O Donoghue classed himself as some sort of golf nerd. In that case it's shocking he can't muster together a few knowledgeable questions for the players.

It was funny how Mickelson just looked shocked at the stupid questions he was asked, you'd swear he was gonna blow!
