Condensation in rear lamp driver side

    Hi all

I bought an 05 astra from a main dealer. I have 12 months warranty.
As the title states I have condensation on the rear lamp drivers side.

Can I get this replaced on the warranty? Is it really a big deal, is it likely to have any effect on anything else?

    Thanks
    John

I don't think it's such a big deal really. I have it in the front headlamps since my car was new and although there's a TSB (technical service bulletin) from Mazda about it, the recommended action is to do nothing. I would expect the same could be said for your Astra.

Here's a link to the TSB:

FWIW condensation in my headlight eventually lead to mold growing in there! I cleaned it off but the reflective mirror finish came off too. :(
If its under warranty I'd get it fixed.

I have an 06 Astra and have the same problem with condensation in my rear driver side light.
I also had trouble recently with the openig of the boot which is AFAIK an electric button of some sort. Is it likely these are related?
