Renting a server

Hey. I am writing a networked application and I really need remote access to a server to test it. I need it to run the sever part of my program. Any idea where I would get this cheap. I'd prefer an Irish company if possible but most of the ones I have looked at online are just we hosting. I actually need to be able to run and install my own programs.
    Thanks in advance,
    Kev

Why don't you just create a virtual machine with the likes of Virtual Box or Microsoft Virtual PC?

Or use Mosso Cloud Servers or Amazon EC2 (EC2 takes a little bit more setting up)

You only pay for the time you use
