hello...just wondering if anyone can shed some light on student finances. my circumstances are as follows.
I am currently coming to the end of a FETAC level 5 PLC course and have applied for 3rd level course level 7 social studies. I am a single parent of 2 children and got let go from my full time job 12 months ago. I have worked since i was 15, full time since i was 18. so when i became unemployed i signed up for one parent family payment and also signed on to claim my stamps.
i am currently receiving 256euro in one parent family payment..and 100euro weekly from my stamps (which was switched to back to education in september when i started my course) this payment will cease in may when i do my exams, so im down that money every week for the summer (i been putting some money aside every week as I knew this payment would cease, and part-time jobs would be scarce for the summer months)
anyway my questions are...what financial help will I receive when i return to college next year, i am going to apply for the maintence grant but will i receive my back to education allowence again in september or whats the story there???? will i get any financial assistance for childcare
just wondering if anyone has been in this situation before, and could shed some light on my options. thanking you for your replies in advance!
