McConvey Cycles - beware

Just a heads up regarding McConvey cycles in Belfast. These jokers are incapable of fulfilling an order properly and are a nightmare to get a replacement out of. They also don't seem to be forthcoming with the refund for the postage I paid to return the order they messed up.

Having posted back the first mistake at my own expense they have sent out another wrong part. Seems they can't tell the difference between Shimano and Campag parts which is worrying for a bike shop.

Looks like I'm going to have to resort to contacting Visa to get my money back.

    Steer well clear lads.

I bought a bike off them last year and they were really good.

Was it a pump by any chance?

Well it seems to be error on top of error with these guys.

I buy a lot of bike stuff online and find places like chainreaction to be superb. I must have placed over 40 orders with chainreaction over the last few years and each one they got spot on. I guess that competence is why they have grown so big.

Really? They were my local bike shop in Belfast, and I was there 4 or 5 times... they always did a good job with services, and the lights they sold me are still in use 4 years later. To me, that's not the sign of a crap bike shop.
