xps or inspiron?...need help

    hi...im looking for a laptop that can deal with hd video editing and most new pc games...wierdly i found a big price difference between the xps 1530 and the inspiron 1545 even though the specs are similar...

    could anyone tell me if their is a huge difference in specs here or if the grafix card is that much better on the xps for video editing....

    any help appreciated

    The 8600M GT should be around twice as powerful as the HD4330, so there'd be a fairly noticeable difference in games.

    Apart from that, the Inspiron has better specs, and is better value.

    If you want gaming performance, you should be able to find laptops with 9600M or above around that price range anyway. Check out some of the Acers etc.

    thats great ,thanks for the advice.....i'll have a look at the acers....as id like to be able to play games like dead space and fallout 3

    why not buy a M1710 with a 7950gtx, would destroy all them.

    I got one, simply a great machine and runs any app or game without a problem. Was going to sell mine on adverts but decided to keep it as couldn't justify spending monies on another laptop.

    A core2duo T7400 @ 2.16Ghz with 2/4 gigs of ram along with the 7950gtx is more than enough for anyone.
