Wouldn't be surprised of a developer's debt was allowed to be transferred over to his dog.

The name 'Rover Flanagan' won't even raise a brow as the dept of Finance will simply be to busy with the flood of paperwork they'll be hit with in the coming weeks.

But seriously, I could see the scenario you've mentioned being played out a number of times.

Sure didn't yer man Joe Burke (Dublin Port) do something similar, except with profits instead of losses, and sure he was appointed by Government to a failry decent position.

Nowt would surprise me.
