    Hey,

I have Sky+ downstairs and magic eye upstairs and up until last week their was no issue with the magic eye. I have a second remote upstairs and it just stopped working so I figured the batteries were dead. Brought the remote upstairs and that was fine. Now when I put new batteries in the other remote their is no response from the eye, yet the remote from downstairs works fine :(

    Hey,

    Thats a bit confusing.
Are you saying the magic eye wont work with either remote or it works with one?

If it works with none,is the red light on in the stick at the part plugged into the rf outlet at the sky box ?
If that light is out, fiddle with the connection 'till it comes on.
It may be something as simple as that.
After all the slightest moving of the box at some stage[cleaning or dusting] could cause the connection to loosen.

Does the light on the top of the remote flash when you press a button??? If so try pressing the sky button and then see if it changes the channel

Is there light lit on magic eye box (green or red)? try to reset the box (unplug form power for 10 sec). Can you see the picture from sky box?

Sorry for jumping in on your post but I'm just enquiring does this magic eye work with NTL packages or is it just with Sky?

Magic eyes were designed with Sky in mind, but it is possible to use them for other devices such as chorus boxes, vcrs etc, but in order to do so, you will require a number of different items.

    1. TvLink+ from Global or similar device

    2. An Rf- Modulator
    3. Magic Eye

If you want to send it to more than one more you will need a Bi-directional digital amp also, this would need its own power supply

I am having the same problem as Keano A Legend , red light is on the magic eye and remote working downstairs not sure if the IR sensor is broken , was there any new soft ware upgrades recently as i am having a problem with my channels freezing as well when i switch to them. Might just be a coincident that both happened at same time?
