    Hi,

A friend of mine is selling an engine on ebay and someone from england wants to buy it but we can't find a delivery company willing to send it from Ireland to the UK (except one for €237). There are plenty offering the reverse service from UK to Ireland for much cheaper.

Anyone any suggestions or have any experience with this?

    Thanks

...the reason why most won't do it is because of leaking fluids etc - fubar's their floors and other stuff they're carrying.

how about this: find out who in the UK ships here, contact them and ask about a 'back load' - i.e. same item going the other way. They like trucks full, both ways !

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

Cheers for the replies... I'll get him to contact Halas and also the other freight companies about back loads.

    Cheers

You could PM Cormie, he could be doing a run.

For info purposes we had an "Ebay" engine delivered from the UK to Kerry for £115 a month ago. It always seems to cost an arm and a leg to have anything delivered the other way round.

I used Nippon freight at Dublin Airport. they have trucks with Tail lifts and had no issue with the leaking oil.

Can't remember the price, but it wasn't too expensive
