There's so many god damn HE forums here I don't know where to start!!

So, I may decide to pick myself up a nice TV over the next few weeks, possibly flat screen, preferably HD ready, I don't need anything massive, just 32'' or so. Now, having been spoiled with so many shoite TV's in my lifetime, this will be my first experience with such wonderful technology!

I'm just wondering, is there anything I should really know before purchasing? Any weird technical stuff at all?

Also, where would be the best place to buy, be it in the shops or online?

    Thanks.

I suppose you should consider what you'll be using the TV for so you can narrow down the options for yourself.

Will it be used for mainly watching TV - Standard Definition or High Def., chorus, ntl or SKY

or will it be used for films, DVD or BLu-Ray

    or Games ( PS3, XBOX)
You should also consider how many devices will be plugged into the TV (as above, cable or sat box, DVD or Blu-Ray, PS3 etc..)
As you will need lots of connections at the back (HDMI, component etc...)

Also, where would be the best place to buy, be it in the shops or online?

Head over this this forum (or perhaps the mods can move it)

John and his team at Richersounds (and the Philips Store) should be able to help further with all you queries.

And they give discounts to boards users.

    Hope this helps
