Bus to Airport from Whitehall

Heading to airport tomorrow to meet someone, thinking of walking up Collins Ave from Malahide Rd to Whitehall and getting a bus from there.

Does anyone know, do all the airport buses stop at the bus stop after the Collins Ave junction (coming from town), or would I be better off going back the the previous one outside the Viscount House?

Or are there any airport buses that serve the Malahide Road? Thought I heard of an obscure xxD or something before?

    Thanks

[edit] It's not clear from the site: are the 746, 747 and 748 all Airlink services ,and thus €6 one way?

If the 746 is the one that originates in Dun Laoghaire (and I'm pretty sure it is) then you pay normal fares on it. I've certainly picked it up on the Stillorgan Road heading for town and not been charged €6.

16A goes to the airport too.

16A would be your best option. It turns right from Swords Rd to Collins Ave, then left to Beaumont Rd, Shantalla Rd and back to Swords Rd.

746 and 41 stop opposite Whitehall Church and if you want the option of all three either walk to the previous stop on Swords Rd or the next stop beyond the M1/Swords rd junction.

747 and 748 are express from the City Centre, they do not pick-up anywhere else.

Most route 41 services and Aircoach are also options.

Note that day, week, month & annual tickets are valid on Airlink.

    THanks for the replies.

The Airlink thing is confusing - the (new) DB website lists the Airlinks as 747 and 748, and gives the prices.
It then gives a list of "other buses in addition to and from Dublin airport, in addition to the direct Airlink service" - a list which includes the 747 and 748.
The old one was even less clear about whether the 746 was included.

The 747 748 will not pick you up at whitehall

The 746 is the 46A but continuing onto the Airport such is the genius in Dublin Bus that they put a 7 in front and immediately made the travel public associate it with the Airlink 747 748 service which of course means still a lot of people don't put their hands out for it and don't board it because they presume it is a higher charge express service.
