Hi, Im doing a research topic and Im looking for CDS spreads for Kaupthing, Landsbanki and Glitnir (the three main Icelandic banks) for the past three years.

Ive been searching everywhere for this info. I was sure Bloomberg would have it but I cant find any CDS data there, nor on yahoo finance.

This is my first time looking for this kind of data, any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

Are you in college? Do you have access to datastream in your library maybe?
Otherwise I think you need a bloomberg or reuters terminal fo rthis kind of info.
This would be a subscribed service (i.e. you pay for it). Your college may have that.

I know UL have datastream in library and reuters on their trading floor.

Otherwise, it's google or a friend who works in finance/funds.

Yeah UCD, dont seem to have either datastream or reuters. Damn crappy uni :(

edit: but your idea of finding someone in funds did work. Problem is he doesnt know how to use his bloomberg terminal, nor do I (Ive never seen it).

The function on Bloomberg if you can get access is GCDS - you can select what sector / bank etc. If you are really struggling send me a pm and I will try get what you are looking for

They're paying a bloomberg subscription for him and he doesn't know how to use it?
