Repairing paint damage

I managed to scrape a wall in a tight lane with my front onside bumper (Ford Focus 07). No physical damage to the car, just paint scraped away to white.

Just wondering if it would be something I could repair well myself using touch up paints from Halfords? If not, any recommendations on where to get something like that fixed? I bought from a Ford dealer, is this something they might look at for me if I dropped it in?

Could you post a picture? It might help a few here to make some recommendations.

I'm sure your dealer will help you - but he'll also charge through the nose!

If you could make it to Cork, paintdoctor.ie does touchups like that for around 120 per bumper corner. He did my MINI's stone chips a few weeks back, and I don't know why I haven't used the guy before TBH.

Cant post a picture right now unfortunately, suffice to say its fairly bad scraping.

I'm in Dublin so Cork is a no-no.

Have been quoted between 220 and 250 from one place, anybody have any opinions on whether this would be worth putting onto my insurance?

I don't have any experience of dealing with damage to my car as I've never had anything like this happen before so any info would be helpful.

I would stay well away from the insurance claim. Anyway most policys have an excess of around €200, this means that you will have to pay the first €200 of any claim (you will need to check you own policy to see what the excess is). You would also most likley loose your no claims bonus.

That's what I was thinking, cheers for the advice.
