I have been drawn to the labour party and after researching them i would like to join labour youth. Could anyone give a list of local branches I'm not going to university and the only youth branches shown on their website are on collage campuses.I would also like to hear others experiences with youth wings labour or other wise

College campuses are where LY is centered. You could always come along to theYouth conferences as non-university students still go to them.

If you're still interested in getting involved with Labour Youth, then your best bet is getting involved with one of the college branches. Any branch would be more than happy to have someone along who's interested and not a student.

If you don't live near a college then you'd probably have to get involved with a local constituency. Keep in mind they might be a lot older than you.

If you have any questions feel free to give me a PM and I could always direct you in the way of the Youth Officer.

As for my personal experiences, LY are a grand bunch. The conferences are brilliant fun and there is a weekend summer school on in July if you've any interest in that. Keep in mind there is a fair amount of diversity in LY and you might run into people who you think really should be in the Socialist Pary or Fine Gael.

As Mr. Above said, you can join your university Labour Youth society.

Otherwise, go to www.labour.ie, join as a member (if you're eligible), you'll hear back saying which branch you're living closest to. You take it from there, I suppose.
