Just wondeing if anyone can share experiences with this product. I have a scar on my knee from a drunken fall  and would love to get it cleared up before the summer. Has this stuff worked for anyone, how long did it take? TIA!

There's a few threads on this topic if you want to do a search. It's seemed to have worked for a few people on here. I didn't think much of it but that could be a lot to do with me being impatient....be patient, use it every day at least twice a day and maybe after a few months you might see a bit of an improvement but don't expect miracles overnight.

I haven't got great results for scars but it is a superb intensive moisturiser, especially after shaving.

I found it quite good, its worth a try but it takes a long time to start working so be patient!

I used it too on myself and a nephew (separate falls!!). It worked pretty well on him as he was growing. My skin is older. :( Anyway, its expensive and a little goes a long way, so I would suggest buying a smaller bottle.

Also, you could check out some of the homeopathic remedies. I never believed in that stuff until I used Arnica as an anti-inflammatory. Its great, so there could be a similar treatment for scarring?

    Good luck.

I used manuka honey on my leg when I had a scar and it completely got rid of it,it was great.
I just rubbed it on for about 3/4 days, left the air at it and it was fully healed before I knew it.

Thanks for all the replies, that is interesting about the manuka honey. I had heard how good it was on burns and skin complaints like exema, but never thought about it working on scars. Might try that first and then the bio oil if that doesn't work.

I find it great on blemishes:-)

    I had a pretty immediate improvement !

It is different for everyone some people only have results after a very long time.

Also it depends on your skin how old the scar is and what kind of scar it is.

But give it a go and see:-)

If anything else it smells nice so you feel like you treated yourself:p

    I found it ****e tbh.

Regular Vitamin E oil would work better imo.

It isn't a bad moisturiser, but having used it on a number of scars and marks it really didn't do much.

Try to get your hands on some rose hip seed oil instead if you can. It'll cost you much the same and is way more effective.

    Hope this helps.

It did nothing for me, but I know people who swear by the stuff....

It didn't work for me. I have a scar on my chin from a tumble down the stairs (Damn you, Zanzibar!) and I used it religiously for about a month. However, it is quite greasy and I was very aware of it so probably was rubbing it off. Worked wonders on my mothers legs. I'd say give it a go, it can't hurt anyways!

Sorry to be pendantic but Arnica is a herbal remedy that's been clinically proven to improve skin healing for bruises and scars.

Homeopathy is a load of nonsense with no clinical proof that it works.

OP - bio oil works but it's really stick and slow to absorb, which is a bit annoying. Vitamin E oil is also good.

Re. the manuka honey comment above...

I have a bad scar from a burn. I've had it about 3 years now.
...Do you think manuka honey could help?

I've heard of people putting manuka honey on burns, immediately after getting burnt...but would it help the scar at all now?

    Thanks.

I was just about to ask about Manuka Honey also. Shouls it be applied directly to the skin where the eczema is located??

How does the bio-oil fair out on stretch marks? It was recommended to a girl I know cos she is destroyed with strecth marks from constantly ballooning in size to a 14 then going to a 8 then up again!

It is supposed to be the mechanical action of massaging the oil in that breaks down the scar tissue.

Nothing gets rid of stretchmarks hayasaidwha....but biooil or palmers cocoa butter would make the scars less apparent and smoother.

Manuka honey seems to be good for skin trouble. Would it do anything for stretch marks? Just curious!

Its also available in a homeopathic tablet form. And yes it is indeed nonsense.
