Looking for a finger splint?

Hey folks, my physio told me I need to splint my finger to 'slight hyper extension'. She doesn't have the appropriate splint (all splints she has are too big). Anyone know where I could get a small one/other splint to do the same job? It's my baby finger (and my fingers are quite short)

i'd have no idea but I surprised that your physio couldn't point you in the right direction

she didn't have the 'correct' splint at hand and the one she gave me is too big (I've short stumpy fingers) and very uncomfortable. Any advice? Should I just go back and demand the correct one??

Not sure if they stock splints, but there is a pharmacy on Talbot Street that specialises in all sorts of "support" stuff, from special shoes for insoles to back-braces, et, etc

I know this may borderline on medical advice so for the record this is my own opinion.

I needed a finger splint once and rather than pay for one I got some medical tape and an ice pop stick , broke it in half and made my own. We had a whole freezer full of ice pops so I was never short of spares. I have seen splints you can buy, maybe in Boots. Waste of money if you ask me.

If you're looking online www.physioneeds.ie www.physiosupplies.ie www.phyisoroom.com one of them should have what you're looking for.

Fannin or whatever its called now on Aungier street is usually good for things like that and any of the bigger boots stores.
