Can anyone recommend a place to buy a MacBook Pro in Dublin. I know I can order online from the applestore, but would prefer to deal with someone local?

There is a terrible selection of good places in Ireland to go, talk to a salesperson and buy a mac. I'm talking, of course, about decent mac authorised retailers.

3g is one but the staff don't really have a clue

PC world again you're dealing with dimwits who will try to dissuade as best they can from buying a mac

Harvey Norman sell them but at V high prices

Spectra are good but their selection is not great. I suppose spectra on the bottom of Grafton St. are kinda good. At least they are a mac reseller.

but then after that, I don't know ( particularly in Dublin ) a good place to talk to someone who knows about macs.

The other option, which is quite cheap, is to go to the apple store in Belfast. Bit of a distance to go for a macbook tho.

    .

I bought one in the 3G store in Blanchardstown last year I found the guy there pretty knowledgeable on them..

PC world now have a little Apple store within now..
But if its run by regular PC world staff then forget it.
Don't know why Harvey Norman would be any dearer. I thought Apple set the retail prices for everything. That was certinly the case when I got mine.
