This has been asked loads before I'm sure but has anyone got any experience with those free to air satalite boxes you can buy?
I was thinking of getting one for my dad.

It says you can't get the irish chanels through it but can you get them seperatly? I have an aerial so that should do it??

Also, can you only get it for one tv or is there a way of linking it to all the tv's in the house??

If anybody knows anything please let me know..

    Thanks a million

You can pick one of these up in Power City for €71. You'll see some reviews in the thread.

You won't get any of the Irish Stations, so your aerial will do the trick. Not sure of splitting it to all tvs in the house, but they would all have to watch the same channel if you were able to split it.

I have a skybox downstairs in the lounge and a portable tv in the bedroom. If I got one of these would the sky box or satellite cause any interferance with it. Also is it easy to set up and would I have to drill holes in the wall etc

    Hi,

Putting a FTA, freesat or Sat4Free receiver on to your system should not mess it up.

The only thing to look out for is that the LNB (the thing on the end of the dish that the cables connect to) has a spare connection, if not, then you will need to buy a new Quad LNB.

Once it is all connected, the Sat4Free box will just do a scan for the channels and that will be that.

you can also go for magic eye link which gives you the same channels like downstairs (but you have to watch the same channes on the same time)
