I really don't understand the logic of trying to run something like this on the same weekend as the IO. I know that it's an alternative to the €1500 game but how many players do they expect not to be in Citywest playing either the tourney or cash? Better off keeping their regular game going instead - at least they may have gotten 20 or so runners for that instead of pricing them out. Once you get a number of tournaments cancelled in this fashion players will tend not to bother turning up and it snowballs.

There needs to be a number of satellites to a game like this to bring 10-15 lower stakes players in and then expect to have another 20 or so buy in - but not when it conflicts with a big event.
