Really ,really need help, please, anyone

Hi, Im the admin of a support web site for parents/carers of children with add/adhd.
We recently migrated?? our site, I think updated .we got a girl to do it who works with PHBpp , If that makes sence, anyway I was so x1000 upset tonight.I looged on, as always to see whats going on , on the site, and someone posted, PORN.I cant believe it, I dont know what to do.Today, someone logged in and delieted files, I rang blacknight and they said someone logged in at 9.55 , and changed /deleted files .I rang the only other peson Mary, who I trust with my life and she cant understand whats going on. She said no ISP address showed only hers, mine and the woman from PHBB , the other day.
I cant say this in any other way.
I am a mum, not a computer person,.I really need help or advice.I cant have parents logging on for support or information and find .well what I seen....OH MY GOD...
Someone please tell me what to do.

You mean phpBB, the forum software? When you say posted porn, do you mean one of the users? Is public sign up available?

Thanks, I just logged on as a um was worried about how to get her child assecced.Anyway there was another new member, and he posted a link to..well you know what.Yep, they must be so proud of themselves.

its normal you will get it unless you try and lock down the forum. Usually advertising bots not real people.

hi, Mick FR is going to have a look and see whats happening.One minute we where on the new phb version, then...according to blacknight , someone logged in and changed us back to the old format.Since then we have had the ..pictures and links.
I am just praying that this can be sorted.The site is a life line to parents and carers and adults themselves.I dont want it to be a thing where you cant post or your post is delayed before it goes up as many parents do post at all hours of the morning.

I did the following so you know guys

- Uploaded a custom .HTACCESS file with plenty of "offensive" IP networks. Basically China, Korea etc.
- Changed the registration settings so the user has to validate the code received by email. There was no user verification before that.
- Added a custom Question (Irish related) using Humanizer (PHPBB plugin) during the registration process.
- Checked the permissions they were grant.

- Recommended to change the Root password of the forum. Suggested to use a specific online password generator.
- Recommended to upgrade from PHPBB 2.0.20 to the last one from December 2008.

As explained to Cathy all those measures will not block individuals from registering and posting offensive materials but that will for sure keep away some of them and also definitely the bots for some time, until they can resolve the simple Irish question No need to speak Irish though.
