Driveway Tax?

Any sign of this or is it wishful thinking from the greens?
It is one of the most idiotic things I have ever heard. A 2% (of value of home) annual tax on anyone with a driveway.

I swear if it comes in it would be cheaper to dig up my driveway and fill it in with dirt/grass and park on the road.

The greens have lost my vote forever because of this statement, whether it comes in or not. I have always given them second preference in the past.

It may have been an April fool joke... but I bet it is still something they like the idea of.
