Ingrown toenail

Okay Im not sure whether you could class this as a medical topic but has anybody ever got an ingrown toenail from running? I dont know whether that is what I have but my toe at the outside edge is pretty sore. Just looking for some advice because I know they can develop quite badly. What are the symptoms? are they common?…

What are the symptoms? are they common? Can you treat them yourself if you catch it early?

Im not really going to go to the doctor atm because right now its only a slight pain on one of my toes (could be anything)....I just dont want to ignore it and have it develop into something.
