    hi erica ,

i had my interview last week . it wasnt to bad .

started off with wat i have been doin since i finished school work wise . couple of questions around that .

ask me did i have any exp which i do in this case and asked a simple technical question . i have been told that they ask 1 at every interview . he asked me how to replace brake pads (simple) .

make sure u have a question or 2 prepared to ask them at the end because they will ask if u have anythin to ask them and it just shows interest if u have 1 or 2 .

best of luck at the interview :D .

Oh cool, thank you for replying!
I don't really have experience at all so if they ask me something I won't be able to answer it properly! Ah!
I'm just out of school so hopefully they won't mind haha.

    Thank you so much!
I'll let you know how I get on :)

no prob at all , i know exactly how u feel .

i was dyin for someone to post somethin for me ha . they wont want to know anything to tricky . they will more than likely ask somthing that will be on a basic service of a car . just look on wikipedia or something and get a bit of an idea .

it is an apprenticeship at the end of the day so i wouldnt worry 2 much about knowin stuff . they will train ya

Anyone who has passed 3 years of third level engineering would be bored out of their tree servicing buses for a career.

5 months late applying and you reckon they'll contact you ? The roles are no doubt filled, they would have been inundated with applicants that were on time, applying 5 months late makes you look a total numpty. Best thing to do is to ring them and ask when are they next taking on apprentices, or write to them.

I got a letter last tuesday offering me an apprenticeship position to start induction in the autumn?!!

I think they left it very late to send out offers to people......I assumed I didn't get the job and applied for a NZ & OZ visa to head off for a year.

Anyone else get job offers and know the time-line from here.

Any idea what is involved in the induction?? Presume its mostly health and safety, manual handling and the likes. What garage are ya gonna be working in?? Were the lucky ones, serious amount of people went for the positions.
