arguing the point is just reinforcing the already childish attitudes of a % of mac users.

get over yourselves already... great, you have a piece of shiney white plastic that runs slightly differantly than a pc but produces exactly the same results in the end.. big gold star for all the mac fan boys :p

Well... i made a hit record on a crappy 1000 quid workstation made by yamaha and it went worldwide - so both pc and mac users can go whistle ;P - but mac users spend more time slagging PC users because PC users are such great problem solvers and use their brains more.

MAC = easy life / no brainer / no use of brain / use it or lose it.

    I vote Atari ST.

I sold a Mac to stevie windwood once and he never made another good record - there's your proof.

More to the point, it can take any kit to produce - mac/pc/atari/amiga/workstation/etc...

And i think the worse gear you have makes you squeeze every last ounce to get quality and get really sharp with creative solutions to weird problems.

I did write the Binary track - many years back now, it was shocking that something that such an effect came from a workstation so cheap, the irony is that with a subsequent remix was produced in Reason (even cheaper) and pays for itself each month - limited resources squeeze the creative side for sure.

On a side note, i can announce that the track is going to re-released with multiple remixes by a *large* European DJ - and one of my mixes hopefully will make it into the bundle - i've spent about 2 years working on it - it's not a 'full on trance' thing but a nice piece of dance to entertain while people jump around like loonies :)

The Binary thing really went quiet for many reasons, so i've been producing on the quiet and setting up a label now, possibly going into full on digital distribution as soon as i get a decent contract made - i can't believe that mp3 distribution is basically 'free' and am working to make an automatic site to enable people to get into this - more so i can have a slick process in house for sending out the material... i'm aware that people are paying to do this sort of thing when it should be low cost / free.

I'll post details if anything fun happens :)
