I use it, it's great, works to broadband speeds all over town, and on all of the stillorgan dual carriageway (my bus route). Those who want to hear horror stories should go to the broadband boards.ie.

How does one apply? Would you have to wait until Sept 1st?

Just walk into the closest 02 store with your trinity I'd, passport/garda id and proof of address.

This offer is not a new offer. It was out last year. Hence the Sept deadline.

Youthinks correct. Got it in September. Hopefully I can renew it again next year, although I may not need this *taptap* Huawei E220 anymore, if I get a new laptop before then.

E220 is awful. E180 is the way to go. Switch to meteor togo.

The device itself isn't too bad, just a bit clunky. I'd like to try out the Meteor one with my O2 SIM if a certain SF'er would be so obliging.. (If it's possible? Network locked?)

not locked at all I don't think. You can try mine next time I see you if he doesn't sort you out.

    I never actually tested mine.

But I got rid of the ****ty fake cd rom bit and just dial up using windows.

Meteor are shooting them selves in the foot with *nix users, who can work the device but not send sms messages. Honestly how many times have you sent sms from your modem?

I suggested choosing your plan on the website and entering top up etc on the website.
But alas it has fallen on deaf ears.

    Uh, never?

draft.n for 3g modem? Sounds like a fair trade :P

How? I wanted to use the internal memory for a DSLinux emergency bootkey.

I've offered it back. I've never used it.

    I could only disable it.

I use OS X's network settings to dial the connection.
