"College Referees"

    So I was thinking about applying for one of the accommodation office summer jobs, and I was looking at the application form:

    And it says at the bottom I need to give the names of two college referees. I'm not really sure who that's supposed to be.... like two lecturers or something? Because I doubt any of them even know my name. And ideas?

    Boston pipped me to the post! Yeah, your tutor should be able to give you a reference, and if your head of department doesn't even know your name, then ask someone who ran a small group tutorial or a lab class that you got on with to do it.

    Hmm well I only ever saw my tutor once, and that was during Freshers week. I don't even know how the head of our department is haha. Maybe year head?

    I suppose I might be able to get one or two tutorial or lab demonstrators.
