MEN- Do you prefer women with Long Hair or Short Hair??

Its a question thats asked all over the world. But I think especially in Ireland, men can be specific in what they look for, in an Irish Woman. In this day and age, where it gets harder to find a date, whether its from a woman looking for a man, or a man looking for a woman, I find it interesting to know what Men Look for in a Woman. And one thing I want to know is whether Men prefer women with long hair or short hair. I am a woman myself with long hair, but there was once in my life where I decided to crop it up short, just to say I did it once and to know what its like! I personally didnt like it, because it was way too hard to manage. I dont get why woman who cut their hair short, say "oh i did it because it easier to manage"! Well that BS in my eyes! With short hair, you have to style literally every day, whether you want to or not. If you dont, it starts to look like a topay on your head! And on top of that, you have to trim it at least every 4-6 weeks, in order to not let it look like ...again..a topay! Plus you cant tie it up on the days where you just dont want to do anything with it. No!, Im a long hair girl myself! Much much easier to manage! Leave it down if you want, tie it up when you want, curl it, straighten it, do what you want! Dont cut it for months if you dont want to!Now of course, i think Hairdressers are going to tell you that Short hair suits you better! Well of course they do, they'd be out of a job, if they told you to let it grow long! Ive also noticed that as women get older, or get married, or have babies, they all tend to crop their hair short, why is this! If you notice, there's a load of 45+ woman around the place with short crop hairstyles, who ALL LOOK THE SAME!!! Is it a society thing, where their afraid to look attractive anymore,in case their fellow neighbours/friends think their mutton dressed as lamb? or have they gone off of sex or is it that their afraid of gaining attention from other males who are not their husband, or boyfriend, or is it an introvert thing. Ive spoken to some men about this subject, and they prefer women with long hair to short hair,as it makes a woman more sexy and attractive than women with short hair, but I'd like to know what you think!!!!!

Speaking in absolutely sweeping generalities , I would imagine the concensus will be long hair. But of course there are exceptions to every rule - Halle Berry looked good with short hair as does Rihanna. On the other hand Sharon Stone looked worse with short hair.

For me it has to be long.

Coming from an entirely female standpoint here so anything I say is probably completely the reverse of what men actually think, but...

Some women do look legitimately amazing with short hair. But in my honest opinion, I think long hair will always be the dominant style. It's just sexier and more feminine, I guess.

Like, if someone asked you to think of a beautiful girl/fantasize/whatever, chances are the immediate image that would pop into your head is of a girl with long hair rather than short. If you think of a sex scene, it's harder to envision a girl with short hair in the position than a girl with long hair.

But that's just putting it down to its most primal, and as we're in everyday situations more often than sexual ones, it's really just up to whatever hair style suits the girl's personal style and face shape better.

Short hair doesnt suit every girl but when it does for me anyways the short haired girl will always look much better, case in point the short haired girl in The Saturdays is easily the best. Maybe its just because I'm interested in fashion and so on but a short haired hot girl would always look a little more interesting to me than a hot long haired girl and I'd prob think she put a bit more effort into her outfit and look for the night.

So, based on the above, the more astute of you may have noticed that I don't like short hair on women Long hair always, always, always wins out.*


*The only exception I've ever made is with my wife, the first time I met her she had long hair and I thought she was fabulous looking. A couple of months later, I met her again and she had short hair and I thought she looked fabulous. Only thing is, I didn't realise it was the same woman It was only after we had been together about 6 months that I suddenly turned to her one night and said 'OMG! You're the same person as the girl with the long hair that I fancied in the Sports Hall!'

So in that case, she looked great with short hair but I much, much prefer it long.

I've a bit of a thing for short hair. Just the fact that a girl has short hair will usually increase my internal rating of her. I accept that I'm probably in the minority in this regard.

I much prefere longer hair on girls. That's not to say short hair doesn't work, in many a case it doesn't but when it works it can look great but essentially I'd find I'd be attracted more so to girls with long hair.

No straight out preference, absolutely depends on the girl. I find petite women are more likely to pull off short hair well.
