hi i have a 05 e46. lately the car is having problems starting. I do the turing the key in the ignition trick 3 times and it works... (anyone care to throw a suggestion as to how this gets around it? )

anyway...can anyone recommend an independent garage in the kilmainham/inchicore/clondalkin area that might be able to diagnose this?

sounds like a faulty cam position sensor.
try Ac cars or chelmsford motors.

    no idea,

wont take anyone too long to figure out what it is, gary in chelmsford is very good, used to work in murphy and gunne, very reasonable labour rates

That happened to me before Christmas - car took a while to start, and traction control warning light came on.

They are indeed, just a little further away from town than their original premises.

@jon1981 - they have autologic diagnostic tools there, so they should be able to diagnose the fault pretty quickly.
