Recent posts in AH would lead me into thinking that I had regressed into the 1980's.
    • Constant mention of the recession
    • Suspicion of foreigners
    • Anti British sentiment
    • Worrying about 1c change in stores
    • Good Friday lock down mentality
    • The return to the bad ol' years of the troubles
Too much fighting on the dance floor...

What's with all the 80's tunes references? Are you hoping it is true so you can dust off your old vinyl collection or something?

To me, its just the creature called "Human" falling back on a natural basic action/reaction state of hitting and lashing out sometimes in anger and frustration given a upsetting situation.
The 1980's were but just one example.
When all else fails and there is no direct touchable targets given inbuilt anger and/or an indefinable distinguishable one area alone cause of concern, I have seen this type of action/reaction happen many times in many situations.

In kept anger and frustration which eventually manifests itself in one form as turning on each other like animals in a cage that can get no other (and probably more genuine) target.

    Constant mention of the recession
    Well it's on people's minds

    Suspicion of foreigners
Well, not a good week facts wise. First we have the fake documents and now the revelation that a lot of them are flying in to collect dole. Why wouldn't people be suspicious?

    Anti British sentiment
    Haven't noticed any.

Worrying about 1c change in stores
It's silly not to tighten up in these times.

    Good Friday lock down mentality
    Haven't noticed any.

The return to the bad ol' years of the troubles:
    Haven't noticed either.

Are you a Junior minister ?

    • Constant mention of the recession
    • The recession is going nowhere and needs to be discussed.
    • Suspicion of foreigners
    • When was it any other way
    • Anti British sentiment
    • Two **** up the North do not speak for us all
    • Worrying about 1c change in stores
    • Worrying and discussing are two different matters - Irish people always loved a good moan.
    • Good Friday lock down mentality
    •
    • The return to the bad ol' years of the troubles
    • Economic cycles aint that a mutha ****er - those days are gone.
