Stereo problems

hi all

just bought a 2001 opel corsa (i know a corsa but will have to do till i get some money) anyways its been sitting in a garage for more than a year now, i got it serviced runs fine but the sterio or cd player does not work-the stereo wont tune in anything, and they both worked before been put in the garage.

Anyone got any ideas, i thought i might need a sterio code or something like that but how would i get the code and what will i do with it.

Any suggestions would be great thanks

Does it come up on the display that u need a code. is it a opel radio or after market radio fitted.

Does the stereo turn on, if so what is displayed?
Is the stereo a factory fit or one someone put in afterwards and if so was it installed properly, ie when you take the key out did the stereo turn off?

its the original radio that came with the car.

the display doesnt say code when turned on just like a normal radio just wont tune in anything, can switch from fm to am like normal all of that.

see a problem exactly like this before in one of my my corsa's, all it was that the aerial had popped out of the abck of the radio, pulled out radio pushed ithe wire back together and hey presto it all worked..
