I have hand prints all over my car,the garage told me it was residual suncream, they washed it with a compound mix and it was like new until I washed it myself and they reappeared,
now after getting some advice I was told t-cut was the thing to use,but when in Halfords yesterday I couldnt find the blue that matched,I told the guy there the colour (air blue) but they didnt have it in the opel range there only vauxhall which the colour wasnt listed, there were similar colours but he didnt know if I should use them:confused:

is there a standard t-cut polish I can use?

i had same problem with my focus, hand prints all over the place, it was so annoying. The product i used was FARCELA Scratch Remover (one of those http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FARECLA-rapid-scratch-remover-for-car-boat-motorbikes_W0QQitemZ250398637886QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item250398637886&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1683%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318 )

it got rid of the prints straight away, and tiny surface scratches as well. Recommended product!!!, try it and let us know.

Eh, not sure what he was on about, sounds like some confusion on touch up paint vs TCut. There is a generic TCut (no colour at all) and a coloured version, which basically dyes scratches whatever colour to make them less visible. However the coloured version is in base colours, ie RED, BLUE, BLACK etc, it isnt and doesnt have to be in specific car colours.

I wouldnt have run to TCut myself anyway as you dont have scratches. Grease should be removed by a good car shampoo, there are people here really into car detailing that could advise better.
