Wishbones, track rods, track rod ends,Drop links, anti roll bar bushes,Top shock mounts all give problems.

Just had a 01 on a ramp out here that needed all that for an NCT.

They are still a great car though. They are extremely comfortable, look fantastic, have a corker of an engine, and can be had for peanuts.

    Agreed.

I had both a 2.0T auto and a T5 for a while. Yes, the T5 was GREAT fun but the 2.0T was a lovely car - comfortable and plenty of power. A word of warning, the 2.0T auto just drank petrol - less than 300 (mostly urban) miles to a tank. I'm not sure of how the manual version fairs out.

Thanks folks. That seems alot of stuff around the suspension. Do you think that would be fairly standard or was the car just not looked after? I bought an 01 sport I think. So far a very nice car. Anybody heard of probs with the turbo? I have a manual gets about 100 miles to €20 short trips. Rekon that's about the 30MPG mark. Happy with that for a 2.0T.

Apparantly the next one will be 3-series sized and have a hint of CLS-like coupe profile.

Current one a very handsome car though, underrated by all accounts. How does it handle the twisty stuff?

Handles well. Fairly wide car so not alot of body roll. Stiff suspension. all in a fairly enjoyable drive on back roads. The turbo can be fairly noisy but when it kicks in it really goes. The brakes are of the S80 so on the lighter car the brakes pull it up quickly.

Besides electrical, I haven't heard of anything major. Most of the S60's problems are over-exaggerated.

The platform is a shortened version of the S80's, so it should have the same brakes along with many other components.
