Has anyone recieved their letter for the Manchester auditions yet????????

I have just found out that these are next weekend and I haven't recieved my letter yet!

I applied back in January, I have the confirmation email and all that.

I thought these auditions were held in June, ahhh!

My sister got her audition call for Cardiff for Sat week. For those who havent been to X Factor auditions before, be early, as your call letter doesnt guarantee you an audition. Also be prepared for a HUGE wait and if you do get called back be prepared to do the above all over again.

Damn. Still didn't get anything today. The auditions in Manchester are in five days. Looks like i'll be turning up with a copy of the email they sent confirming the application I sent! Do you reckon I'll get away with this?

I dont know if you'll get seen if you just go with the email. Just because you apply, it doesnt guarantee you an audition.

Your sister must be very good to have received the audition Nightwish. We had cameras down at Dublin, Galway, Belfast and Cork for auditions. Best of luck to her. They must have really liked her demo.

I auditioned yesterday Manchester folks, didn't get through, but it was an experience to say the least!

I didn't have a letter, and there were no problems. They just let you straight through. I would say this was due to the fact that there were less than 10,000 people there though. So whether it stays like that for the rest of the auditions I dont know.

You've to audition in front of one judge with your song, if you get through that, (which not many people did it has to be said) you have to go audition in front of Executive producers etc. a couple of days later. If you get through that, you go to Wembley for the finals which is where you see Simon, CHeryl etc.

Finally, there were very few groups there, tiny amount. Its your best bet if you are looking to get through.

So how do so many ****e people get through to the later stages? Do they leave through terrible people as well...just for entertainment reasons?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12 dazman5000

Yeah, its even more cynical than I thought it was. They let them through TWO rounds of auditions before they're seen by Simon & co.

Why would anybody put themselves through that to make a show of themselves in front of millions of people?

And its really quite amazing the amount o f people who were told they had talent by thier families and use this as a reason to audition.

The whole show is about exploitation of the common person and thier unrealstic hopes and ambitions.
