I was unfortunate enough to get a large nail through the my tyre and rim last week.

Does anyone konw where you can buy a replacement rear wheel for a Giant Bowery. I have looked at the usual sites and can't find these:

    RIMS- Alex DA22 700c
    TYRES- Kenda Kriterium 700x25mm

Also, I presume if I have a hole in the rim it should be replaced? or would I get away with a patch job?

    Thanks

    The Bay maybe?

Suprisingly cheaps sets going! Nearly be cheaper to get both.. A set sold in Engerland for £50-£60 on London FG/SS.

Doesn't say anything about postage to Ireland, but worth asking at that price!

    That's unfortunate.

If the rim has a hole then it's had it really. It's for the bin. But you can have the hub rebuilt up on a new rim, and that should be quite cheap and easy. You don't need to go for the same alex rim - any 32 hole road rim would work (I like open pros. But it wouldn't match the front, if that matters.)

It pains me to say it, but cycleogical build good wheels - they might be worth a phone call - they might not want to build up a wheel without selling you the hub () or they might have a olng wait, I don;t know. Anyone know any other good wheel builders?

I was really hoping that wouldn't be the case :(

I probably give the wheel building a shot and see how much it'll be.

On the up side this does give me an excuse to get a pink hub to match my handle bars!
