    Hi everyone,

I'm 29 yrs old and moving to Galway in september to do a 4th year course. Can you recommend some housing area's or apt buildings that would be eh... suitable for a lad my age... I'm looking for somewhere quiet and clean so I can get my head down to study when needed... The idea of living with 1'st years puts the fear of god in me! lol

And advice or info would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!
    Dave

I'd say your best bet would be to share a house with some older professionals in either Lurgan Park or Gleann Rua. They are both walking distance from the college. If you have a car or don't mind living a small bit further then you could look for somewhere in town.

It's hard to give you advice really because what you'll have to do is get the Galway Advertiser in August (along with 1000's of other students) and look for accomodation that way. I know that's what i'll be doing. There is no set particular place for people like yourself who don't want to be in the noisy student villages. It's a lottery really as im sure you know yourself when moving in with others...

Best to live within walking distance to the college as a car will turn into a really pain as parking can be extremely hard to get.
