What would you call a common database that's available to 3-4 chain of stores?
Like an internal network for say a video store operating in 3 close towns.
Is there a technical to the system that they'd use?

The network would allow users at each end to input data and it would be updated for the others as its one common database.

Or I have a Management Information Systems Book here, what key words in the index should I look up?

So these 3 video stores have thier own, private network. The database could simply reside at one location, with local updates at that location, and remote updates from the other 2 stores.

I suppose you'd call it a Centralized Database.

Yea, that makes sense. And how would it operate? In ICT terms what system would you call it? A centralised database?
