    Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

Recently made my first build with vista 64 bit.
I say Vista 64 bit cause when i had finished the build my usb wireless network adapter had no drivers for 64 bit Vista.

In my sillyness i decided to buy another wireless adapter from a Click computer store, paying 40 euro for a "no-name" pci wireless g(54mb/s) adapter (i know it was a rip_off but it was the only one with vista64 compatability) i thought at least now i'll be able to properly use my pc.

It worked ok for 4 days (70% connection) and now when i try to connect to any steam server it loses connection and when i go to download stuff it only goes at a rate of 30kb/s..... :(

when i try a broadband speedtest (speedtest.net) it says my download speeds are 5.7 mb/s and upload is around .78mb/s.........

    ISP is digiweb
I've reinstalled the drivers, downloaded the latest and all that....

Really don't know what else to do...

My card is a "Intellinet wireless g pci adapter"

    Help would be greatly appreciated

    thanks

Where is the wireless router located in relation to the PC? What wireless channel is the router set to?

It's in a pci slot and then it has an external aerial with cable which is on top of my desk with nothing around it.

The router is a wireless "n" type and is in the room beside my computer. It's been on for a long time so there shouldn't be a connection problem with it.

The wireless adapter is set to channel 1.....

Try set both the router and wireless adapter to channel 11.
