I've just built a 4.5 x 4.5 metre shed in the back, and im thinking of either going with a steel cladded roof or a torch on felt roof, thing is the pitch is facing an agricultural field so apperance isnt my number one concern, price and diy are more important, any ideas and how much of a drop should i be looking at for a 4.5 metre span, thanks

try mineral felt it looks like torch on but you glue it down. sheet the roof with 3/4" tongued and grooved osb first then glue it down. its alot more solid than galvanised sheets of metal. an inch or inch and a half should do for a fall because the span isnt huge. you dont want too much of a fall either or water could come down the roof too fast and shoot off over the gutters.
