    As the post above says:

Must be diesel, rot free chassis, qualify for vintage tax, and be ready to drive. (Not looking for much, am I? :) )

Anyone know of the whereabouts of one??

    Oh, and swb preferred too.

ah that's not unreasonable. uk is the place to get one though. and they're cheap to re register here due to the vintage classification that'd get you your cheap tax

There's a guy half way between Ashbourne and Slane on the right hand side coming from Ashbourne who always has a load of old landys and RR's at the house for sale. Infact he's closer to Ashbourne now that I think of it.........I was just trying to find one of his ads ( I've see them on another website i just cant remember which one ) and I came across this.

As said, you would be hard pressed to find a nice one here. Many series twos and threes would be pretty shabby as been used for donkey work all their life.

In the uk you will find it easier to find a well kept example.

Plus that one in the add looks really tired

    Hi Lads,

Thanks for the advice so far.
Yes, it looks like a lot of landrovers here are pretty tired alright.

Looks like I might have to travel to blighty to get what im loking for.
Something like this would fit the bill for me:
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1976-LAND-ROVER-109-4-CYL-RED_W0QQitemZ140311746118QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAutomobiles_UK?hash=item140311746118&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A1%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318
(if its not a basket case underneath)

Im looking for something that could be used for a bit of towing work now and then. I can't justify expensive tax and insurance on a more modern 4X4 for something that would be used occasionally, hence my search for an old landrover.
