New UPC box and no activation

    Hi guys..My Mother in law changed from NTL analogue to digital last week..the installer brought out an old scratched and damaged NTL box...I phone up and complained and they changed the box for the new UPC type on friday 3rd..it's now Sunday and the box still hasn't activated...I witnessed the installer texting the codes in and get the reply at 10:am on Friday morning...by 5:00pm the new box still hadn't activated so I phoned UPC and they asked me for the box ID and card number..they said it would be up to 24hrs from then..
    But as I said it's almost 48hrs and still no activation...I tried to phone again this morning but tech dept closed..any advice on how I should tackle NTL on Monday morning?..I got a little thick with them on Saturday morning and I have a feeling she may have bumped me back down the activation que..can I ask for a credit for the hours we were not activated?? cheers

    I had this problem when I got the DVR installed. I got it on a Saturday morning and it started working on Monday while I was at work. I asked them to and they gave me credit for the time it was down.
