Google Earth Update

    Hi, just tried to update Google Earth to version 5.0, however got Error Message OX 80040905. Any ideas what the problem is? Thanks

    have you tried downloading and installing http://dl.google.com/earth/client/GE5/release_5_0/GoogleEarth-Win-Plus-5.0.11337.1968.exe ?

    or is the 2nd page that google brings back when you put in "80040905 google" the 2nd page that you looked at and you have already tried their suggestions ?

    Just tried your suggestion, thanks. Error Message: "Windows Installer. The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode, or if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance". I am not running Windows in safe mode (Windows XP),and have not encountered any problems with downloading previous versions of Google Earth. Thanks anyway.
