If I never had to sleep I'd be delighted. I HATE heading off to bed (yet equally detest getting out of it in the morning). Anyone the same? Sleeping's just so boring - just a load of dreams about pirates and dinosaurs...

How old are you? And this answer actually matters.

26 and you hate going to bed? Why do you hate going to bed? Does your mam tell you to go to bed or you're afraid of the dark?

I hate going to bed too and for the same reason. It just feels so boring when there's all sorts of things I could be doing if I were awake.
Also, last night I dreamt that I had invented a bra with Nipple Nubs (patent pending) which was designed for sagging breasts to keep the nipples level.

But do you never consider all the things you could be doing if you didn't have to sleep? As far as I'm concerned it's 7 or 8 hours wasted...

Not really. I'm only awake at this time because i'm drunk and when i sleep during the week its cause i have work and you DO NOT want to see me when tired :)

I just dont care if i miss anything. What can happen between 12-8 that i would miss?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 86,729 ✭✭✭✭Overheal

You could be that one dude in the james bond film who didnt sleep. Or that one dude that Really hasnt slept in over 30 years: http://offtopicdiscuss.blogspot.com/2007/08/man-who-doesnt-sleep.html

And all that dude does is farm. Makes you wonder

"What can happen between 12 and 8?"

Depending on timezones, a lot. But twilight hours and sunrise are interesting enough. Experience it after sleeping though - that I find very rare, and much different than if you watch sunrise on an insomnia bender.

Nope, going to bed is the favourite part of my day. I'd pick sleep over most other things, tbh. I'm a very sleepy person. I'm also a big fan of naps.

That insomniac guy has six children. Making babies is something you usually miss out on when you're asleep.

It's more that if I'm in anyway tired I'm a super bitch. than beauty sleep!

Seriously, you don't want to be near me if I haven't had my 8 hours. :)

I haven't been to bed yet. Might as well stay up now. Though generally I quite look forward to going to bed, it just didn't quite happen that way today

Love going to bed..... oh yes the sinking feeling of melting away into the pillow is great. plus the o/h wraps herself around me. No matter what nothing beats having thr nicest legs in ireland wrapped around you.....Bliss.

The only thing that p1sses me off is my litte sh1t of a son who decides to get up at 5.30 every day no matter what time I put him to bed!!!!:D

But then again we dont own our kids, they own us and TBH i wouls not change that for the world....

Yep, I love going to bed when my OH is in it too ^^ Although Joey, we'll have to take it out with each other, apparently, on who has the best legs around himself ;)

I dislike *going to bed* when my OH is not there, but sleeping itself is still win. You feel so much better and refreshed afterwards :)

I don't know why anyone hates going to bed, with a lovely snug duvet and pillow to sink into and rest, mmm

I'm a bit of an insomniac but when i do make it to bed, it's sooo good!

Right now i've been awake for about 26 hours straight, really tired but at the same time i've no interest in settling down, it's strange 'going to bed' at 10:20am :(

Too many women are like cats. They get cosy and warm then just want to sleep.

I really hope some day humans can evolve to only needing an hour of sleep a day. I hate sleep, seems like such a waste of time.

I always put off going to sleep for too long every night and then it takes a ridiculous effort to get out of bed in the morning.

I'm not helped by the snooze button of course, tis pure evil!

I hate going to bed, but in fairness, I was the real-life inspiration for the book 'The Exorcist', and to a lesser extent, the film of the same name. Yep, bed holds painful memories for me. Painful, painful...your mother sucks cock in hell....painful memories. At least I'm over it now though, eh?

Always like bed. Mainly because I'm up til all hours watching DVDs every night (literally). But I love dropping off to sleep too.

I don't like going to bed either... I feel like it's time wasted, that I could be doing something else fun or interesting!

Of course, once I get into bed I like it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 228 ✭✭MadgeBadge

I hate going to bed if I've had a crap day, I'd want to stay awake and redeem it somehow. Often by looking at random stuff online.

I used to love going to bed when I was with my ex-boyfriend. Sometimes, I'd be out somewhere really crowded or a really bad house party, and I'd be thinking I could be snuggly in bed with him.

I have been known to stay up til all hours cos i just hate going to bed at night.. I regret it every morning and fantasise about being in bed for the rest of the day. I'm not sure why this is. It's pretty strange.

Without fail, i'll get a nap in every day. If I don't think i'll get one in between work and college, ill work through my lunch to get home earlier and have my nap.

Of course, there is a certain person that can get me to bed earlier....:o.
