Hi All, I have an amilo li1718 and recently the laptop is behaving as if the F1 key is being pressed repeatedly.

In firefox new tabs keep opening, in IE and when on the XP desktop 'help and support' keeps opening.

The F1 key isn't stuck down and seems to press normally. Its not a software issue because i tried booting a few linux live distros and the same thing happens. Any ideas?

seriously try check out your keyboard unscrew it and pull up the key the button could be simply stuck. Try useing a knife to pull the button off
